St. Valentine's Day.

A Saint of what?
Of cheap candies and cardboard nothings?
I've gotten those and more.
Meant nothing.
I've given those things.
Meant nothing.
Men give Women flowers, choclates, cards, frilly things, and wonderful evenings.
Women give Men the one thing and one thing only.

A Saint of What?
Smashed flowers,
Half-Eaten Chocolates,
Dusty Cards never to be seen or read again,
Frilly things that will be to small or to 'young' to wear again,
Good memories to be forgotten by Alzhiemer's.
One things to be wanted more and more.

A Saint of What?
Broken hearts
Stolen Days
Bad Memories
A hole in the heart, never to be filled again

A Saint of What?
A Media-Induced,
Plastic or Lace,
Smells wonderful,
'You not fat in that!',
Craptastic,
HOLIDAY OF NOTHING!!!!

I think of Valetines day the same way.Nothing but a big scam to get more money. I wish it were back to the older days when people made valetines from the heart but now you just have to buy a cheap card to express your feelings>.<

oh! :hug: i understand this its how i felt along time about this time of the year. everyone ealse getting roses and having some one like them i sit there alone.....with nothing. its dipresing this holiday is pointless. i think its morly for celibrating love, and the people who love u.
